Press Release
On Monday, June 29th, Fetter Health Care Network (FHCN) announced updates to its upcoming COVID-19 testing schedule. The Federally Qualified Health Center has partnered with local government municipalities to host mobile COVID-19 respiratory collection test sites throughout the Lowcountry. The testing sites rotate to different locations throughout the Lowcountry each day, providing free and accessible walk-up and drive-up tests to community members.
Due to an increased volume in patients, FHCN has announced it will be moving its testing site for Wednesday, July 1 to Trident Technical College. The community health center had previously scheduled testing for this date to be held at Trident United Way and will now be moving its site to Trident Technical College in order to accommodate the increased patient sign-ups for testing. FHCN's full upcoming schedule includes the following:

“Our Fetter team has now administered more than 7,000 COVID-19 tests throughout the Lowcountry,” said Aretha R. Jones-Powers, CEO of FHCN. “Our team has been quick to be flexible in order to meet the needs of our surrounding communities and we are thankful to our local partners for hosting our mobile COVID-19 testing sites.”
Walk-up and drive-up testing is available at each site. Same-day testing is available; however, individuals are highly encouraged to get screened before arriving for quicker service by visiting FetterCovid19Screening.org or calling 1-800-365-7410. Operating hours and locations vary. A full schedule for all mobile sites can be found at FetterCovid19Screening.org.
Individuals who have a known exposure to COVID-19 or are experiencing COVID-19 related symptoms can request a screening at FetterCovid19Screening.org or by calling 1-800-365-7410 to connect with a Fetter provider who will determine the need for testing. Tests will be given by appointments only and require a special, unique code. Individuals are asked to employ social distancing while waiting for testing and are requested to wear face coverings.
Currently, tests are given with no out-of-pocket cost to patients. All insurance providers in South Carolina are covering the cost of COVID-19 testing. Patient insurance information will be processed in order to complete testing. No co-pays or deductibles are being charged. All patients will be served.
