Charleston County Emergency Management and Sheriff’s Office officials are monitoring areas of moderate flooding related to rising Edisto River levels.
Residents should continue to monitor water levels near their homes and be prepared to relocate to higher ground if necessary.
As always, residents should use caution when traveling through areas affected by flooding and avoid driving through standing water of unknown depth.
Over the last several days, Emergency Management and Sheriff’s Office officials worked together to alert citizens in the impacted area to the likelihood of Edisto River flooding this weekend. Those joint efforts will continue until the flooding subsides.
