On Wednesday, March 15th , Beija Flor Jeans will open its second brick and mortar boutique in Freshfields Village at the crossroads of Kiawah and Seabrook Islands. The company, which has its flagship store in Greenville, SC, was launched by mother and daughter duo Emilie Whitaker and Kathy Moca.
Inspired by the materials and denim silhouettes they saw on a trip to Brazil, Whitaker and Moca created Beija Flor Jeans to “give women a more flattering style of denim that works with their individual shape.” A press released described the wardrobe as a combination of innovative, slimming design and comfortable, eco-friendly fabrics.
The name “Beija Flor” means “hummingbird” in Portuguese, and it represents the ever-evolving brand's constant commitment to environmental and social responsibility.
The denim boutique will open at 164 Gardener's Circle. More information about the brand can be found on their website at www.beijaflorjeans.com .
