The Charleston Area World AIDS Day (WAD) Planning Committee recently announced that North Charleston will host a candle light vigil in Riverfront Park followed by a community potluck at The Sparrow on Sunday, December 1st. Both are open to the public.
The vigil will start at 5 pm while the “Celebration of Life” potluck will follow at 6:30 pm.
The Charleston WAD Committee is composed of representatives from Lowcountry AIDS Services, the MUSC Infectious Disease Clinic, RSF Ryan White Program, College of Charleston Counseling and Substance Abuse Services and other community members.
World AIDS Day was first observed worldwide on December 1st, 1998.
