Personal finance website WalletHub today released a report on 2024’s Best Places for Summer Jobs and Charleston was named the 8th best city in the country.
To create the rankings, WalletHub compared more than 180 markets in the U.S. across 21 key metrics. The data set ranges from the median income of part-time workers to the availability of summer jobs to the commuter-friendliness of jobs.
Finding a Summer Job in Charleston (1=Best; 91=Avg.):
- Overall Rank: 8th
- 7th – Summer Jobs per Capita
- 43rd – Internships per Capita
- 16th – Median Income of Part-Time Workers (Adjusted for Cost of Living)
- 56th – % of Insured Part-Time Workers
- 85th – Commuter-Friendliness of Jobs
