Charleston County Government is now accepting applications for distribution of approximately $300,000 to non-profit, 501(c) organizations that provide support and increase tourism in the Charleston County area through advertising/ promotion and/or through the maintenance or operation of tourist-related buildings or facilities.
The applications are reviewed by the Charleston Area Convention and Visitors Bureau and College of Charleston's Office of Tourism Analysis for the tourism impact (including economic, media, marketing and community impacts). The allocations will be approved by County Council in September 2021 and must be used by June 30, 2022.
The 2022 Application for Local Accommodations Tax Funding is due to the Charleston County Budget Department by June 15, 2021. To obtain an application, please go to www.charlestoncounty.org/departments/budget.
