Charleston Animal Society is currently over capacity at their animal shelter and making what they are calling “an urgent plea” to the community to make room for one more. To help with the overcrowding, Charleston Animal Society is offering fee-waived adoptions of all dogs through Sunday.
“In the past few weeks, we have been flooded with a surge of dogs,” said Charleston Animal Society Chief Lifesaving Officer Pearl Sutton. “We have made it through the majority of the year with a steady flow of adoptions, but right now we really need people to make room for one more.”
Dogs come spayed or neutered, with all vaccinations and a microchip.
Charleston Animal Society shelter can be found at 2455 Remount Road in North Charleston. It will be open today through Friday from 12 pm to 5 pm and 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday and Sunday.
