The843Hub is helping people new, settled, and local to Charleston “find their tribe.” The social media agency was founded in 2021 by three friends with marketing backgrounds: Madison Sinatra, 26, Wyatt Slominski, 29, and Tyrese Brown, 28.
The trio met fresh out of college. After starting corporate jobs in Charleston, they bonded over their shared love of visiting local food trucks on their lunch breaks.
“We got super into food reviews,” says Sinatra.
They began posting their reviews on social media and developing personal relationships with the food truck owners.
“People needed to know about these places,” says Sinatra, who adds that the reviews garnered thousands of views.
From there, they expanded their reviews to brick-and-mortar establishments and started highlighting mom-and-pop restaurants—including a daily food deal to get people in their doors and saving money. They also began sharing monthly event calendars to promote local festivals and pop-ups.
Their success on social media led to opportunities to help others run their social media platforms—including restaurants, as well as sports teams and other businesses.
“We connected in the community to create an event hub site for fun, free things to go enjoy and do in the area,” says Sinatra.
They spent the past year developing a new web application platform set to launch in early 2025 that will allow users to customize their search for events happening in Charleston—from entertainment to libraries, parks, and philanthropy groups.
“We want people to find their home and find their people in Charleston while still supporting local businesses,” says Sinatra.
