Press Release
Developer East West Partners announced today the upcoming grand opening of The Waterfront, a luxury, mixed-use community on Daniel Island along the Wando River. As Daniel Island's last remaining waterfront parcel, the grand opening will formally introduce the community's residences, amenities and the Daniel Island Market and Eatery (DIME), a gourmet grab-and-go-market. Daniel Island's only waterfront restaurant, Kingstide, is scheduled to open soon at The Waterfront.
“When we began this project, we were inspired by the salt marsh and the Wando River's edge as a blank canvas for which to build a community centered around life on the water,” said Miller Harper, Managing Partner at East West Partners. “The opening of The Waterfront signifies the activation of Daniel Island's waterfront and offers a unique opportunity to live in an expansive yet intimate island community just a short drive from downtown Charleston.”
Beginning March 20, guests will have the opportunity to participate in guided tours of the completed Osprey and Sandpiper model residences. The Osprey residences range from approximately 1,900-2,700 square feet with 2-3 bedrooms and 2.5-3.5 bathrooms. The larger of the Osprey residences includes an office. Prices range from $1.2 million to $1.8 million. The Sandpiper townhome residences offer approximately 3,500 square feet with 3 bedrooms, 2.5-3.5 bathrooms, a separate den and a flex room, two private terraces and a two-car garage. Prices range from $1.425 million to $1.65 million.
With an array of natural and planned amenities designed to enhance life on the water, The Waterfront community offers access to 25 miles of nature trails and will soon feature a newly redesigned waterfront park featuring two public docks, a paddle launch and dog ramp, an interactive fountain, waterfront swings, a hammock garden and children's play area. Private amenities include a pool, state-of-the-art fitness center, community outdoor gathering space, post center with onsite property management and access to the community boathouse to store kayaks and paddleboards.
In December, East West Partners announced The Indigo Road Hospitality Group as the operational team for both Kingstide and the DIME at The Waterfront. The Charleston-based dining and consulting company will oversee the restaurant and market, with interiors designed by Cortney Bishop Design, a full-service interior design firm in Charleston.
