On Thursday, November 8th, Windwood Family Services will once again hold an elegant fundraiser to benefit their mission to eliminate child abuse and neglect in our community. “Havana Nights” will be held at The Cedar Room at the Cigar Factory and will include Cuban influenced food and drink, live music, a silent and live auction, and the chance to hear from the organization’s executive director and a former Windwood resident. The proceeds of the night will go directly towards the renovations to Windwood’s residential campus in Awendaw, which will give them the opportunity to serve more children each year. Tickets are only $175/person, $300/couple, $1,500/sponsored table and can be purchased here.
Here’s what Windwood Family Services says about their mission – “We wake up every morning with one goal: to eliminate child abuse and neglect. Over the last five years, our locations in Awendaw and Mount Pleasant have provided help, hope, and healing to over 7,000 children in the Lowcountry that are victims of abuse, neglect or severe trauma. We started this mission over 30 years ago, but to continue growing and help more children in our community yearly, we need your help!”
