After the sudden death of their beloved leader, Caroline Smith-Adams, who was the face of Voodoo Tiki Bar for 15 years, the team at Voodoo decided to make some changes to honor her life. The bar and restaurant has closed, gotten a full makeover, and will re-open as Caroline's Aloha Bar, a new family-friendly concept.
The new venture will host it's grand opening on Thursday, October 22nd at 15 Magnolia Road in Avondale.
The new look includes an interior paint job, an updated cocktail and beer list, and odes to Smith-Adams. Patrons can still plan to see familiar faces like Andrew Truman, general manager, and enjoy Voodoo classics like Caroline's Pecan Pie Bourbon and Mike's Famous Duck Club Sliders.
Caroline's will be open daily from 11:30 am to 11 pm, in addition to Sunday brunch.
“We are grateful for the love Charleston has given us over the last 15 years,” owners Jen and Mike Kulick said. “We're excited to take this next step with family and friends.”
