The Travel Channel’s BBQ Crawl will simultaneously be filming at The Alley and participating in the venue’s latest charitable effort this Sunday.
The show documents BBQ Champion Danielle “Diva Q” Dimovski’s culinary travels through the South. While in Charleston, she will cook pulled pork BBQ sandwiches with Jamie Westendorf Catering and the staff from The Alley. Each sandwich will then be sold for $4 with all proceeds being donated to Camp Happy Days.
The event will also include a charity raffle and book signing. Lake High, president of the South Carolina Barbeque Association, will be autographing copies of his new book, A History of South Carolina Barbeque. The fun starts at 1 pm.
The venue will be open as normal, but attendees may have to sign a waiver since they could be filmed.
