James Island residents and visitors have a new dining destination - The Harlow. Located just off of Harbor View Road, the restaurant offers a selection of coastal Americana cuisine, a full raw bar, lite bites, burgers, specialty cocktails, and more.
The Harlow, named after their young daughter, was conceptualized by Katie and Josh Drewry, James Island residents who kept getting requests for “chee-burgers” from their son, Rhett. Realizing they could create an elevated, fun environment not just for their children to enjoy, but the community as well, The Harlow was born.
“We wanted it to be approachable but still have fun with the menu,” said Josh Drewry. “My wife and I have served in the hospitality industry for years; this is our passion project, and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. We look forward to serving the community and welcoming visitors from all over.”
Patrons will be able to choose from a variety of fresh local seafood, burgers, and sip on cocktails like the Dill Creek Martini made with Ketel one vodka OR Ford’s gin, house brine*, pickled green tomato, and dill stuffed olive (*contains shellfish) or the Sea Island Swizzle Hilton Head rum, ginger, mint, lime, angostura bitters. There is also an extensive list of non-alcoholic beverages available for guests to imbibe on. Click here to view the full menu.
The Harlow will be open Monday to Thursday, 5 pm to 10 pm and Friday and Saturday, 5 pm to 10:30 pm, and brunch coming soon. For more information you can follow them on Instagram (@theharlow_chs) or visit their website www.theharlowchs.com.
