The Charleston Museum will host its Annual Oyster Roast on February 24th at The Dill Sanctuary. Set on the scenic Stono River, guests will enjoy live music by The Blue Plantation Band while savoring oysters, barbecue, and sides courtesy of Rappahannock Oyster Bar. Those with a sweet tooth can enjoy treats from Bennie the Treat Truck and Charleston Sugar Studio.
Museum Curators will also provide guided tours of Battery Pringle. Guests are encouraged to bring their appetites, coolers, chairs, and blankets. The event runs from noon to 3 pm.
The Dill Sanctuary is not open for daily visitation. The Museum offers programs throughout the year to provide public access to this protected property. The Dill Sanctuary is a wildlife preserve and pets are not permitted on the property.
Guests can purchase tickets online here or call 843-722-2996 ext. 235. Reservations are required. Tickets are all-inclusive and include admission to the Dill Sanctuary, live music, sandwiches, sides, oysters, desserts, and a guided tour of Battery Pringle. The Dill Sanctuary Oyster Roast is BYOB.
