Photo by Jonathan Boncek Taco Boy, which has been in the Charleston area since 2006, today announced that they plan to open a new location in Greenville, SC this summer. The new restaurant will located at 1813 Laurens Road , which was the former home of Farmhouse Tacos. The opening will follow a complete transformation of the interior and exterior spaces.
“We're really focusing on curb appeal,” said Taco Boy founder and co-owner Karalee Nielsen Fallert . “We love the stretch of Lauren's Road and proximity to Swamp Rabbit Trail. The location has served as a catalyst to improve that whole space. We're expanding the outdoor patio for gathering and dining. And while the shell of the building will remain, the interior won't be so recognizable.”
The new Greenville location will include an in-house tortilleria, which is currently being guided by Asheville-based chef/consultant Luis Martinez, founder/owner of Tequio Foods , which supports indigenous Mexican farmers. Like their other restaurants, the Greenville Taco Boy will offer scratch-made tacos, quesadillas, and sides. They will also serve from-scratch margaritas and Mexican-inspired craft cocktails. Guests can also expect a weekend brunch menu featuring breakfast tacos, huevos rancheros, churros French toast, and more. You can find the menu and more details at tacoboy.net.
