Downtown tiki bar South Seas Oasis last week announced that they have closed for good. The establishment was located in the building at 23 Ann Street, which has struggled to maintain any businesses.
South Seas Oasis made the announcement on Instagram, saying:
“ Thanks Charleston, it's time to wrap things up here and move our Tiki Collection to a New City. Thanks to all the Rum Enthusiasts and Great Bartenders who made this an incredible experience. ”
Over the last two years, the building at 23 Ann Street has seen the following restaurants close – Scarecrow, Feathertop, Wise-Buck Smoked Meats. The location now only houses Charleston Depot, an event space that hosts concerts, parties, and more.
