Rutledge Cab Co., the downtown restaurant known for its burgers and sandwiches, on Monday announced that they would be closing for good after that day's lunch service. The eatery had served the Charleston area for 12 years.
The restaurant, which was opened by actor Bill Murray, Charleston RiverDogs co-owner Mike Veeck, and partner Brad Creger, made the announcement on social media (see below).
Rutledge Cab. Co. opened at the site of a former service station at 1300 Rutledge Avenue. According to the announcement, a new restaurant concept is coming to the space.
