The Holy City’s cheesiest event returns for annual go-round on Saturday, January 12th. The Charleston Mac Off, a family-friendly event featuring tons of the South's best comfort food will be held at The Citadel’s Johnson Hagood Stadium from 11 am to 4 pm.
The festival features popular Lowcountry restaurants facing off to win the title of “Best Mac & Cheese in Charleston.” Competing chefs will showcase their version of the classic dish, playing with different cheeses, pasta shapes, toppings, and cooking methods. In the end, there will be one winner in the People's Choice category and one winner in the Critic's Choice category.
