Parlor Deluxe, a funky hot dog, ice cream, and waffle joint on the corner of St. Phillip and Spring Streets, will officially open for business at 5 pm this Thursday.
The small soda shop will offer a variety of specialty hot dogs, tater tots, waffles, ice creams from Hilton Head Ice Creams, shakes, and sodas from the Cannonborough Beverage Co. The ice creams and root beer are among the items that will be exclusive to Parlor Deluxe.
Over the past few days, the owners have been hosting invite-only previews of the space and the early reviews are good. Early fan favorites include the Lil’ Kimchi hot dog, which features a beef dog topped with toasted dried shrimp, miso mustard glaze, house kimchi, crushed peanut, and cilantro.
The Chinatown and White Cheddar tater tots and the Drunken Espresso ice cream were also popular selections during Monday’s preview event.
