Downtown newcomers La Cave and Legami were recently named amongst the 'Most Beautiful New Restaurants [of] 2024' by the Robb Report, one of the most coveted lists of the year.
La Cave is celebrated for its faux stone walls and archways, herringbone parquet floors, and oversized crystal chandeliers, which the Robb Report notes are reminiscent of a very chic cellar, what the restaurant's name translates to in English. Designed by co-owner Leslie Landrum, perhaps the most notable design feature is a gallery wall, which features hand-painted family portraits by the owner's daughter, Pierette, who is currently studying art at The College of Charleston.
Legami, the new Italian restaurant on King Street, was also recognized on this list, making Charleston home to two of America's most beautiful new restaurants alongside other nationally recognized dining destinations like NYC, D.C., Miami, and San Francisco. The Robb Report priased the dining room's pastel-green banquettes and white Carrara marble tables, and noted the outdoor patio's jasmine vines and brick flooring.
La Cave is located at 550 King St, Ste 150, while Legami can be found at 492 King Street.
