Island Provisions today announced the opening of their second location at 221 St. Philip Street in downtown Charleston will take place on Saturday, October 29th. The all-day market and cafe will offer coffee, quick-service breakfast and lunch, beer, wine, and cocktails, along with a grab-and-go market.
Helmed by hospitality veterans James Groetzinger and Emily Florian, the concept first opened on Johns Island in 2020 and quickly became a daily stop for residents.
Fans of the John Island location will find familiar dishes like their signature avocado toast, smoked turkey + goat cheese sandwich, and chopped kale caesar salad, along with downtown originals like a curry chickpea salad and a veggie sandwich. In addition to food, the cafe has a beverage program that includes a coffee selection featuring locally-roasted beans by Second State Coffee, smoothies, juices, wines by the glass, local beer, and craft cocktails.
The 1,200-square-foot historic space underwent a major renovation and now boasts a charming indoor dining area along with a coffee and cocktail bar, takeout counter, patio and market. The market sells a selection of fresh grab-and-go meals, beverages, and specialty foods from artisan makers.
“We're thrilled to be opening in such a vibrant neighborhood,” says Groetzinger. “From fueling you up in the morning to being a quick stop for a bottle of wine after work, Island Provisions has a little something for everyone.”
Beginning October 29th, Island Provisions will be open daily from 7 am to 8 pm. Takeout and delivery are available via DoorDash or call-ahead. For more information visit www.islandprovisions.com
