Bar Ilegal, the world’s largest mezcal tour will make its final stop of 2024 at The Matador in Charleston on December 6th. The event runs from 7 pm to 11 pm.
This pop-up event marks the conclusion of a nationwide tour that has brought the spirit and heritage of Ilegal Mezcal to life across the U.S.
Capacity will be limited and RSVPs are strongly encouraged and early arrival is recommended. The first 100 attendees receive a complimentary welcome drink. You can reserve your spot.
Bar Ilegal will transform The Matador’s Mezcaleria and upstairs event space into a vibrant celebration of mezcal and music, complete with a live performance and an inviting 70s-inspired atmosphere.
The night will feature music by indie rock artist Zach Person and other entertaining elements, including free flash tattoos. Plus drink specials, exclusive mezcal-based cocktails, and pours of Ilegal brand mezcals and other rare, limited-release bottles.
“We're excited about this collaboration with Ilegal Mezcal and thrilled to be the final stop on the 2024 Bar Ilegal tour," said Brian Livesay, The Matador's Beverage Director. “We've been long-time partners with Ilegal Mezcal, and big fans of both their mezcals and their brand for even longer. Their passion for authentic Mexican culture, community, and traditional agave spirits is amazing and we couldn't be happier to help them bring this event to Charleston.”
The Matador is located at 235 Meeting Street.
