Home Team BBQ is once again expanding their Charleston area footprint. The team announced that they plan to open a new restaurant next year in the former Rusty Rudder building on Hwy 17 in Mt. Pleasant. You can see their full announcement below.
A spokesperson said the new space is currently being “rehabbed and rejuvenated.” T he renovation will be designed by Jenny Keenan Designs, Mcginnis Leathers, and the four operating partners (Aaron Siegel, Taylor Garrigan, Sean Daniher, and Tony Mckie).
“It just feels like a Home Team to us.” said Siegel, the Chief Operation Partner/Pitmaster. “We love rehabbing an old school spot, and this place already has the feel of a fish shack or BBQ shop.”
The Mt. Pleasant property has a large outdoor space that will serve as an open air courtyard. Siegel said they will utilize the space for “game day with lots of TVs, oyster roasts, charity events, and just a great hang out space for families and friends to spread out.”
Although a set opening date has not yet been announced, Home Team BBQ is already looking to hire managers that will begin training in their current locations. If you are interested, you should e-mail employment@hometeambbq.com.
Home Team BBQ already has locations in downtown Charleston, West Ashley, Sullivan’s Island, Columbia, Greenville (SC), and Aspen, Colorado.
The new restaurant will be found at 3563 N Hwy 17. You can learn more about Home Team BBQ on their website.
