Handcraft Kitchen & Cocktails today announced that they are welcoming both a new Executive Chef and Sous Chef. Derick Wade will be coming on board at Handcraft Kitchen & Cocktails to be the their new Executive Chef, while Victoria Martinez will serve as the new Sous Chef.
Chef Wade may have been born in Wisconsin, but he has spent the majority of his life in different kitchens across the world. From Alaska to Russia to Hawaii to Bulgaria, Wade’s global culinary experience will bring an entirely unique insight and worldview to Handcraft. He is coming to Handcraft from Tomasso, an Italian restaurant on Kiawah Island.
Born in the Carolinas of Puerto Rican descent, Martinez is influenced by her heritage and culture. She attended Johnson and Wales University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Food Service Management with a Sommelier concentration. Now, after nine years of experience in the Food & Beverage Industry, the last four being strictly in Italian cuisine, Martinez is excited to bring her passion and expertise to the Handcraft kitchen.
