On Thursday, May 19th, local non-profit organization The Green Heart Project will partner with the students and faculty of Mitchell Elementary School for the 6th annual Harvest Dinner. The event is open to the community and will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
The Harvest Dinner, presented by Limehouse Produce , is the Green Heart Project's end of the year fundraiser and will take place alongside their flagship urban farm at Mitchell Elementary School. The Burke High School Culinary Arts program will create the evening’s menu and prepare the dinner.
The event will also include music, a jump castle, a community art board, student-garden tours, a farmers market with fresh produce, and the potluck style BBQ.
Tickets are $20 for community members, $10 for students, and free for children 12 & under. Tickets, which can be purchased here, include a dinner plate, a drink ticket, and a ticket for a King of Pops popsicle.
All proceeds from the event will support the Green Heart Project and its farm-to-school programs.
