On Friday, May 5th and Saturday, May 6th, the Fish & Chippy (565 Belle Station Blvd) in Mt. Pleasant will celebrate the coronation of His Royal Highness King Charles III. Regardless of how you feel about Charles, or Camilla, or even Harry and Meghan – the Fish & Chippy says their two-day celebration of the new King's reign promises to keep the monarchy and its traditions alive.
Starting at 11 am on Friday, May 5th, a special, limited edition British-style cask ale by local brewery Edmund's Oast will be served while supplies last. Plus, a permanent menu addition created in honor of King Charles will be unveiled.
For the two-day celebration, the restaurant will expand its shaded outdoor seating. Cornhole and other party games will be available, or guests can try their hand at the UK-style “hammer and nail” game (first one to hammer the nail into the stump, wins). In addition, a full order of traditional fish and chips with a pint of cask ale will get you a free Fish & Chippy koozie.
Attendees can also enjoy live music from RotieMusic on Saturday from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm.
The Fish & Chippy is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 am to 8 pm. You can learn more at www.thefishandchippy.com.
