On Thursday, March 30th at 6:30 pm, Brandon Plyler of Edmund's Oast Exchange will host a Madeira School at the Edmund’s Oast Restaurant.
The class will explore the interesting history of one of the oldest wines in the world – from the origins of colonial shipping to the golden age of Madeira collecting. Plyler will discuss the legend of the islands and the grapes grown there, as well as the fortifying and aging process that makes this drink so unique and age worthy. He will also share a range of Madeira styles and their geographic identities in the United States.
In addition, the class will explore the scope of wines as daily drinkers, cooking applications, and cocktail mix-ins. Attendees will also learn tips on how to serve and store these wines.
Small bites from Edmund’s Oast will be provided. Tickets are $50 and can be purchase at http://bit.ly/2nX3Jid.
