Downtown bar/restaurant Warehouse on Wednesday announced on social media that after nearly a decade of serving the Charleston community, they have closed. The business first opened on June 30th, 2013.
The bar shared the news on Instagram, saying:
“Thank you Charleston for the best 10 years imaginable! The memories made in these walls with our of dearest family, friends, staff, customers, vendors, and artists are ones we will certainly never forget. There are simply no words to express our gratitude for all the support over the years. Just a couple young bartenders, a dream and an old run down warehouse. Seeing our neighborhood change over the years has been a wild ride and we will always love the corner at Spring & St. Philip! It has been our true pleasure to be a fun part of your lives the last decade. End of an Era! WE ARE WAREHOUSE! See you around, Chucktown! Big news soon from our awesome buyers!”
According to the Post & Courier, the buyers are the Uptown Hospitality Group, which owns and operates Uptown Social and Share House. The group will be opening a new concept at the location, but no details have been announced. Warehouse was located at 45 1/2 Spring Street.
