King Street’s Cocktail Club was included in Condé Nast Traveler's list of the “Best Southern Cocktail Bars.”
The collection include just eight entries and the Cocktail Club was the only Charleston bar to be featured. It was slotted in the No. 7 spot.
Condé Nast Traveler had the following to say about the downtown favorite:
Charleston is the go-to destination for old Southern charm, but as The Cocktail Club in the Upper King Street area shows, that old charm doesn't have to be stuffy. The Cocktail Club is in a historic building featuring a salvaged bar and offers up libations like The Right and Wrong (made with local Hat Trick Gin, Cocchi Americano, honey, sage, and tonic), which blend local flavors and contemporary approaches into one delicious drink.
