CO restaurant, a King Street restaurant that serves a modern take on traditional Southeast Asian cuisine, will celebrate eight years in business by offering the entirety of their new sushi program at $8 for the day. The $8 rolls will be available all day (11 am to 10 pm) on Thursday, June 11th.
Since CO first opened its doors in downtown Charleston in April of 2012, the anniversary celebration was originally scheduled for this April, but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Highlights from the sushi menu include signature rolls such as:
- Lemon Roll (pictured at right) – salmon, lemon, surimi salad, avocado and a lemon aioli
- Kung Fu Crunch – salmon, avocado, cream cheese, topped with spicy tuna, scallions, unagi sauce, spicy aioli and tempura flakes
- Firecracker – tempura shrimp, cucumber, avocado, yamagobo, scallions, topped with spicy tuna, sriracha, spicy aioli and masago.
To receive the special pricing, customers must dine-in. The deal will not be eligible for take-out orders and is limited to one per person.
CO's Executive Chef Masanori Shiraishi leads the culinary team, drawing inspiration from generations-old family dishes and popular dishes throughout Southeast Asia.
CO was founded in 2012 by Greg Bauer in Charleston. The restaurant group also has locations in Atlanta, Charlotte, Myrtle Beach, Raleigh, and Savannah.
