Chef Patrick Owens of the Owens Dining Group last month opened his latest concept, Tierra al Mar, a Latin American-inspired restaurant. The new restaurant can be found in Mount Pleasant, right next door to Langdon's and Wood & Grain, which are also Owens Dining Group concepts.
The new restaurant’s menu features Chef Owens' twist on Latin American-inspired cuisine using fresh Latin American ingredients and local seafood and seasonal produce. Guests can expect tacos, seasonal vegetables, local seafood dishes, assorted smoked meats and proteins, and unique sauces. The full bar offers a large array of mezcal, tequilas, beer, and wine.
“I have been thinking about a Latin American-inspired culinary concept for a while,” said Chef Owens. “I like to offer diversity to my clientele and when the right space came available, I jumped on it right away.”
Tierra al Mar is open Tuesday through Saturday from 5 pm and offers plenty of outdoor seating. The restaurant is located at 778 S Shelmore Blvd.
