Earlier today, the James Beard Foundation announced the finalists for their 2015 award categories and Charleston saw some familiar names make the cut.
Chef Sean Brock (Husk) is once again a nominee for Outstanding Chef, but is also a finalist in the Best American Cookbook category for Heritage (right).
Chef Jason Stanhope of FIG moved onto in the Best Chef: Southeast category, while his restaurant joins McCrady’s, one of Brock’s other restaurants, as finalists in the Outstanding Wine Program category.
Charleston resident Nathalie Dupree, a cookbook author and television personality, was nominated in the “Who's Who of Food & Beverage in America” category.
