Dalila's is moving into the former Crooked Crown space
A Caribbean-inspired cocktail lounge called Dalila's is planning to open this month at 21 Spring Street in downtown Charleston. The bar will be located in the former home of Crooked Crown.
Dalila’s will be opened by Los Angeles transplants Timur Dmitriyev and Michael Whiteley, who say the lounge will feature “an intimate, relaxed environment focused on creative cocktails and light fare.”
“We aren't attempting to recreate a scene from the Caribbean, but to create our own vibe inspired by the flavors we enjoy most,” Whiteley said in a press release. “This allows us to be true to ourselves while utilizing ingredients from around the globe.”
Dalila's drink menu will feature Caribbean classics, plays on traditional cocktails, and specialty house spirits and syrups.
Tomas and Lynda Prado of Spanglish Cuban Kitchen will create the Dalila's food, which will include classics such as the Cubano sandwich.
