The James Beard Foundation on Wednesday announced the semifinalists for their 2022 Restaurant and Chef Award categories and, once again, Charleston was represented.

Winners will be celebrated at the James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards ceremony on Monday, June 13th, 2022, at the Lyric Opera of Chicago. Restaurant and Chef Awards nominees, in addition to honorees for Leadership, Lifetime Achievement Award, and Humanitarian of the Year Awards will be revealed on Wednesday, March 16th, 2022, in Scottsdale, AZ. Nominees for the James Beard Foundation Media Awards will be released on Wednesday, April 27th, 2022, in New York City.
