The Charleston Museum will partner with Charleston Promise Neighborhood to host the annual Social Studies Bowl on Thursday, March 15th from 5:30 pm to 6 pm. Three Title I schools (Chicora Elementary School, Sanders-Clyde Elementary School, and James Simons Elementary School) will engage in competition to showcase their social studies skills.
The competition consists of four rounds separated by grade (2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th) in which the students battle it out to be the first to buzz in with the correct answer.
At the end of the competition, the scores from each round are tallied and a winner is declared. The Social Studies Bowl fosters a competitive and fun-spirited interest in the subject and provides families with a night of fun, community, and excitement.
