On December 7, 2024, the Woodlands Nature Reserve will transform into a soulful lakeside concert venue for “Lakeside Harmony for Healing: Music for June Waterman.” This special event honors June Waterman, a passionate conservationist and advocate for preserving the natural world, as she courageously battles stage 4 cancer.
The music lineup features performances by Chris Roberts, Ben Whitney, Droze and the Drift, Dallas Baker and Friends, with sound engineering by Paul Joliet. Set against the backdrop of the Woodlands’ tranquil lakes and forests, the event will bring the community together with music and nature.
The Woodlands Nature Reserve, located 25 minutes from downtown Charleston, spans 6,000 acres of wilderness featuring lakes, blackwater swamps, and forested trails. Overnight camping is available.
Proceeds from the event will go toward supporting Waterman and her family, as well as the ongoing conservation efforts at the Woodlands Nature Reserve.
