The Taylor Festival Choir (TFC) today announced the presentation of its fourth concert of the 2022-2023 season: “The Healing Journey.” The show will be held at the Circular Congregational Church on April 23rd at 7:30 pm.
Music performed will focus on the healing of mind, body and spirit. There will be a pre-concert talk at 4:30 pm featuring medical and spiritual leaders from the Charleston community.
“The importance of healing is obviously very important in the Taylor family and the Taylor Festival Choir family” said Rob Taylor, TFC’s founder. “My wife Mary’s inspiring dance with cancer (she is cancer free!) has been a close-to-home reminder that we all suffer from something, and the “Healing Journey” that follows is one of the most important, if not the most important, journey any individual can undertake. That said, it’s every bit as important to focus on communal healing. Our world and our country is as divided as I have ever seen it. A ‘coming together’ is urgently needed–and the healing of hurt feelings, slights, and angry disagreements is a must. Indeed, ‘the healing journey’ is one we must all undertake, and continue to undertake–for the betterment of ourselves, our nation, and our world.”
Tickets for the concert can be purchased at www.taylormusicgroup.org, or at the door.
