Pop star Shawn Mendes is bringing his “Wonder: The World Tour” to the Credit One Stadium on Saturday, October 16th, 2022. He’ll be joined by special guest Tate Mcrae.
After gaining an impressive following on Vine in 2013, Mendes eventually signed a record deal that led to the 2014 release of his self-titled debut EP and his debut full-length studio album, Handwritten, in 2015. The latter debuted atop the US Billboard 200, making Mendes one of five artists ever to debut at number one before the age of 18.
His second studio album, 2016’s Illuminate, also debuted at number one in the US, with its singles “Treat You Better” and “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back” reaching the top 10 in several countries. His third and fourth studio albums also hit No 1., which made Mendes the youngest male artist ever to top the Billboard 200 with four studio albums.
Among his accolades, Mendes has won 13 SOCAN awards, 10 MTV Europe Music Awards, eight Juno Awards, eight iHeartRadio MMVAs, two American Music Awards, and received three nominations for a Grammy Award. In 2018, Time named Mendes as one of the 100 most influential people in the world on their annual list.
Mcrae is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and dancer, who first gained prominence as the first Canadian finalist on the American reality TV show So You Think You Can Dance. She then caught the attention of RCA Records in 2019 after her original song “One Day” went viral on YouTube. In 2020, McRae was the youngest musician featured on Forbes‘ 30 Under 30 list. Her debut studio album, I Used to Think I Could Fly, is scheduled for release on May 27, 2022. She is probably best known for the hit single “You Broke Me First.”
