Rugged Maniac, one of the country’s biggest obstacle races, will open its 2016 season at Boone Hall Plantation on Saturday, March 12th.
Rugged Maniac is not a typical 5k race as runners of all ages, shapes, or sizes are challenged by twenty-five obstacles like underground tunnels, trampolines, warped walls, balance beams, and a fifty-foot water slide.
Tickets, which are available online at www.ruggedmaniac.com, are $89 until March 8th. Once that date passes, runners can sign up at the race for $100. Students and military personnel with valid identification receive a $10 discount. Spectators are charged $10 to attend.
The race includes a day-long festival that features a variety of entertainment including music, mechanical bulls, adult bounce houses, beer, food, and exhibition booths.
