Vive Le Rock Productions is bringing back Rockabillaque Charleston for their 11th year in the Park Circle neighborhood of North Charleston on Nov. 9, 2024. The festival, which celebrates all things mid-century Americana culture with a modern-day twist, is free to attend. This year’s Rockabillaque Festival is being held in support of hurricane relief (charity to be announced this week).
Rockabillaque began back in 2012 as a one block Car Show with a flatbed stage and six bands playing with around 1,200 attendees. The festival has since grown into a multi-block event with over six outdoor stages, a car and bike show boasting over 400 vehicles, live music featuring regional and national and music acts, a pinup contest and a Vendor Market featuring over 90 unique vendors.
The fun begins on Friday, November 8th with a kick-off party at Commonhouse Aleworks featuring live music from regional and national music acts.
On Saturday, November 9th, the main event will take place on the main strip of E. Montague in Park Circle featuring a Classic Car & Vintage Bike Show; live music on six outdoor stages; contests including Pin-Up, Beard & Moustache, and Tattoo Contests; a Vendor Market; and more. This year also includes the Atomic Splash Pool Party at the Starlite Motor Inn on Sunday, November 19th.
This year’s entertainment features a lineup of local, regional, and national acts including Tim Polecat from the legendary rockabilly band The Polecats, the Ameripolitan Award Winning Jane Rose & The Deadends, the music icons Hot Rod Walt and the Psycho-DeVilles, the reunion of Charleston's surf rock troubadours Jason and the Juggernauts, the live music powerhouse The Tan and Sober Gentlemen, Sean K. Preston, Charleston rockabilly legends The Defilers ,and the reunion of Clash Tribute Band Sandinistas! Plus, hometown heroes Jared Petteys & The Headliners, Alabama's Skyler Saufley Music, Florida's Skinny McGee & The Handshakes, Virginia's Brandon Wayne & His Lonesome Drifters, Tennessee's Vaden Landers, Wisconsin's Bellends, Georgia's Smokin Souls, Tennessee's Brady and the Bazookas, North Carolina's Pleasure Chest. And some of Charleston's best bands including Jordan Igoe, The Innocents, The Danglin' Uvulas, Mike Martin & The Beautiful Mess, Shrimp City Slim & Juke joint Johnny, DJ Slowcountry.
