The Riviera, the iconic theater in downtown Charleston, this week announced its First Anniversary Concert Series beginning on March 11th. The historic venue dates back to 1939, but hadn't opened its doors to the public in 45 years until its grand reopening in March 2022 when Beemok Hospitality Collection became owner.
To celebrate this milestone, The Riviera will welcome three performances featuring concessions with 1939-era pricing, VIP ticket offerings, and a chance to win two tickets for all shows at The Riviera for the remainder of 2023. The shows will include: The Head and the Heart on March 11th; An Evening with Patrick Davis on March 24th; and Andy Grammer on April 7th. Tickets for all shows are on sale now.
“We're thrilled to host these incredible performers at The Riviera as a part of our First Anniversary Concert Series,” said Aaron Rowland, operations manager of The Riviera Theater. “Since reopening our doors last year, we've sold out 12 of 25 shows and welcomed nationally renowned acts like The Revivalists, Jewel, The Wallflowers, Collective Soul, and Colby Caillat. This year, we'll be making improvements to enhance the concert experience for all, including new state-of-the-art lighting, upgraded audio, and enhanced seating offerings. It's our hope to continue making The Riviera the premier historic theater in downtown Charleston for performers and guests alike.”
For all three shows in the First Anniversary Concert Series, all wine and beer concessions at The Riviera will reflect pricing from 1939. This includes both local and domestic beer for $0.65 and a glass of wine for $1.10.
As an additional promotion, guests who purchase tickets for any of the First Anniversary Concert Series shows will be entered to win two free tickets to all shows at The Riviera for the remainder of 2023. The winner of the giveaway will be selected at random based on the email used to purchase the original tickets and will be contacted via email on April 10th.
