Brittlebank Park in downtown Charleston will come alive on November 23rd, as Charleston Animal Society hosts Paws in the Park Presented by Crews Subaru, the largest event in South Carolina benefiting animals. This year’s celebration marks a monumental milestone—the 150th anniversary of the organization’s legacy of care for animals and the community. With a day packed full of activities, this event promises to be a memorable experience for attendees of all ages.

From noon to 4 pm, visitors can stroll through Brittlebank Park to discover fun zones designed to entertain and engage. The event will feature an interactive 150th Anniversary exhibit, a stage with live music performances, and an adoption zone where you can meet your next furry family member—all while enjoying a wide selection of food and drinks.
Tickets are $25 in advance and $35 at the gate, which include free oysters and chili! Back by popular demand, the Chili Cook-off will showcase 29 of Charleston’s best local restaurants and amazing local chefs competing for the title of chili champion. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample and vote for their favorites. Kids 12 and under are free, making this an affordable and enjoyable day for families. Not into chili or oysters? No worries—delicious options like Smash City Burger an Cachitas will also be available.
For an additional $10, attendees can indulge in samples from nine local breweries in a commemorative glass, including popular favorites like Commonhouse, New Realm, Palmetto, and Munkle Brewing. Whether you prefer a hoppy IPA or a smooth lager, there’s a brew for everyone to enjoy.
Live music will fill the park with performances from three talented acts: Vallenato Flavor, Lauren Hall, and headliner Midnight City Band. With an expected attendance of around 3,000 people, Paws in the Park celebrates community, compassion, and a shared love for animals. Voted a favorite in Charleston’s Choice, Paws in the Park is a gathering that welcomes animal lovers and families alike for a day of festivity and fun.
