Tomorrow, the Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum will celebrate National Aviation Day by screening Flying the Feathered Edge: The Bob Hoover Project, a film that shares the story of legendary aviator Bob Hoover.
The film will be shown at both 10:30 am and 1 pm inside the Smokey Stover Theater aboard the USS Yorktown. The showings are included with regular admission.
Flying the Feathered Edge: The Bob Hoover Project honors the legacy of Robert A. “Bob” Hoover, an aviation legend and World War II veteran. During the 86 minute film, the aviation figure tells his life story as an Air Force fighter pilot, experimental test pilot, and airshow pilot. The movie also features actor and pilot Harrison Ford, air show legend Sean D. Tucker, astronaut Neil Armstrong, and other experts in the aerospace field.
After tomorrow’s screenings, the film will continue to be shown in conjunction with Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum.
