Mount Pleasant Towne Centre is ready to kick off the summer with a variety of community events throughout June, as well as a new addition to the lineup. Start the month off right with the SWEAT Fitness Series with Athleta, a complimentary series hosted by local fitness enthusiasts. After getting a workout in, guests can return for the free summer concert series, Live Under The Oaks, to enjoy the best in local musical talent. Play Dayz is also back this month, featuring special classes for children and parents. Finally, grab your friends and family for the Towne Centre's first ever SummerTowne Bash, a block party featuring live performances, activities, games, contests and more.

SWEAT Fitness Series with Athleta
Wednesday, June 1 and June 8 from 6 – 7 p.m. at The Oaks, across from Barnes & Noble
Mark your calendars because on the first two Wednesdays in June, the complimentary SWEAT Fitness Series is back at The Oaks. Rescheduled from April and May, Jennifer Colangelo, a local kickboxing instructor from Rockbox Fitness will kick off the series on June 1, followed by local instructor Jenn Simpson from Barre Code Charleston on June 8. All attendees will receive a coupon for 20% off one item at the Towne Centre Athleta store and a special gift from Towne Centre. Live Under The Oaks
Thursday, June 2 from 6 – 8 p.m. at The Oaks, across from Barnes & Noble
Looking to enjoy summer nights filled with the best company, the best views and the best music? Live Under The Oaks, the free outdoor concert series sponsored by Roper St. Francis Healthcare, is back on June 2. Rescheduled from May, the event will be emceed by Johnny O' of 95SX and Charleston-born band, iLLA ZiLLA will be performing live. Grab take-out from your favorite Towne Centre restaurant or visit Xperience Kulture food truck for the best fish and shrimp tacos in town. Play Dayz
Tuesday, June 7 from 10 a.m. to noon at The Oaks, across from Barnes & Noble
Interested in spending some quality time with your kiddos while also getting a workout in? Parents and their children are invited to Play Dayz for ALL ages this month, with two different classes hosted simultaneously by #FIT4MOM Charleston. The first round of classes kicks off at 10:15 a.m. with Stroller Strides, a class designed for parents and their younger kiddos, along with Body Boost, a boot camp style workout for parents and their older children. SummerTowne Bash
Saturday, June 18 from 4 to 8 p.m.
Grab your shades and your favorite summer outfit because Mount Pleasant Towne Centre is hosting its first-ever SummerTowne Bash, a block party benefitting Make-A-Wish South Carolina presented by South Carolina Federal Credit Union. The free event will feature performances by country singer-songwriter Isabella and classic rock, pop and country cover band, 40 Years Too Late. For a $5 registration fee with 100% of proceeds going to Make-A-Wish South Carolina, guests can also enjoy hot dog and pie eating contests, a kids talent contest and a dunk tank. Additionally, guests looking to bring home souvenirs can enjoy face painting by Faith, caricatures with Dawn and balloon animals with Carol. A bouncy house, cyclone ride and viking axe throwing game will also be onsite. Sips and bites will be available for purchase from Burtons Grill + Bar, Zimos Gyros, Xperience Kulture, Mac Daddy, New Dog Hot Dogs, Holy City Popcorn, The Dessert Club and Holy City Homemade Italian Ice. In addition to the various events, Mount Pleasant Towne Centre has again partnered with CARTA to serve as the stop location for the Beach Reach Shuttle, a free seasonal park-and-ride shuttle providing a connection between Mount Pleasant and Isle of Palms. The shuttle began operating in May and will continue on Saturdays and Sundays through Sept. 5, as well as on Memorial, Independence and Labor Day.
