Local band Live Bait will be returning to the stage with a reunion show at the Windjammer on May 17th. The show starts at 10 pm and will feature members of Jason Aldean’s Band who are performing at the North Charleston Coliseum that night. Openers include Kemp Ridley, Chris Holly and Spunjwurthi. Live Bait was a popular roots-rock band in Charleston during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Some of the members still perform locally. Vocalist/guitarist David Dunning plays in the Larry David Project and the Diesel Brothers, Ben Polk and Chris Barrineau play in Spunjwurthi, and Keith Bradshaw played in Plane Jane for 10 years. So why the tie-in to the Jason Aldean Band? Former Live Bait member Jay Jackson currently plans in Aldean’s ensemble. One of the special guests will be Ballard Lesemann, the Former Charleston City Paper Music Editor and the current brains behind Metronome Charleston. Tickets are $7 and can be purchased here.
