Kulture Klash, a community art festival, returns for its 9th annual event on November 16, 2024, at Building 64, a new event venue located at Navy Yard Charleston in North Charleston. Kulture Klash is an annual celebration of creativity and community with a mission to unite artists from various disciplines and backgrounds. The festival brings together some of the region's top artists, musicians, and performers.
This year, Kulture Klash will partner with The Livity Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering underserved communities through cultural, educational, and wellness initiatives. A portion of the proceeds from the event will directly fund the foundation's ongoing programs, including art therapy workshops, community wellness events, and educational resources for low-income youth.
Kulture Klash 9 will feature a lineup of:
Visual Arts
- From graffiti and live painting to installations and sculptures, local and visiting artists will showcase diverse mediums, transforming the venue into an interactive art experience
- Artist such as: Carl Janes, Lisa Shimko, Ishmael, Patch Whiskey, Sarah Stewart, Alice Colin, Julia Deckman, Nathan Durfee.
Live Music and DJs
- Multiple stages will host an exciting mix of genres—from reggae and hip-hop to electronic and indie sounds
- Artist such as: Chali2na, Cut Chemist, The Dubplates, Duwayne Motley, Lefty Lucy, Erode the Dream, Acid Hawk, V-tones and more
Performance Art
- Artist Dancers, break dancers and surprise performances
- Performance by: Unbound Ballet Project x Jennifer Padilla
Food & Drink
- Attendees can enjoy local food provided by Chaotic Concessions, unique cocktails, and specialty drinks
