Following up on our post from Friday, the first-ever High Tide Music & Arts Festival will be moved from Saturday, September 25th, 2021, to Saturday, June 25th, 2022 at Riverfront Park in North Charleston. The decision by festival organizers was made due to the COVID-19 resurgence.
For fans who purchased tickets for 2021, their tickets will be honored at the rescheduled 2022 event. You can reach out to info@hightidefestival.com for questions or concerns.
“Our team has worked tirelessly to determine the best way to ‘COVID-proof' the event, but have come to the conclusion that no matter the additional measures we take, we cannot guarantee the safety of our community,” said High Tide Music & Arts Festival Executive Producer Edward Holt. “We want to deliver the best possible experience for all involved, and unfortunately ‘covid-proofing' measures do not allow for this.”
“We're committed to doing everything we can to ensure the health and safety of our fans, partners, artists, and communit,” Holt said. “Major cities in the Carolinas have started to move forward with mask mandates including Wilmington, Charlotte, Raleigh, and Columbia, as well as many universities like Clemson, USC, and CCU, and we suspect this is just the beginning. We are not the first festival in the South to reschedule, and we know we will not be the last. Our team has worked really hard to create something special for Charleston and the only way for that to happen safely is by moving the event to June 25, 2022. We appreciate the community's continued support, and we look forward to next year's Festival in June!”
High Tide says they are “an immersive music and lifestyle experience featuring music, art, as well as a curated food and beverage garden to give the attendees a full day of things to experience.” High Tide says their 2022 lineup will include some of the world's biggest dance music DJs and over 20 local and regional up-and-coming DJs.
In the meantime, High Tide will continue to promote the festival at their pop-up Sunset Sessions – small and safe live DJ sets from local artists set to perform at the 2022 Festival, to occur in Charleston and across the Carolinas. Stay tuned for a new schedule of Sunset Sessions, to be announced via social media.
