On Saturday, March 19th at 9 pm, H1GHER LEARNING will host “The Fake Race” at Boone’s Bar.
According to to event’s website, the event is for “those that prefer to get their cardio from dancing to high energy hip hop music instead of tackling a 10k.” Athletic gear is not required, but is strongly encouraged.
“Registration” for the Fake Race is free for those 21 and older. However, participants can purchase a “Gold Medal” open bar ticket for $30. Tickets can be purchased online. Donations will also be accepted at the event and/or FakeRace.com.
All proceeds from the event will support H1GHER LEARNING, which uses the hip-hop and sneaker cultures to both teach at-risk students, and raise awareness about the organization's mission.
