Internationally acclaimed interior designer Vern Yip will visit Charleston on March 3rd as the featured speaker for the annual Art of Design luncheon hosted by the Gibbes Museum of Art's Women's Council.
“I'm excited to join fellow design enthusiasts in a city that truly appreciates and prides itself on embracing and expressing artistic creativity,” Yip said.
Since 2011, the Women's Council has welcomed experts in the world of design to the special luncheon and lecture. This year, Yip will discuss his work and the design industry in the museum's new classically landscaped Lenhardt Garden.
You may remember Yip from his four seasons spent on TLC’s Trading Spaces or during his years as on HGTV projects like Deserving Design with Vern Yip, Urban Oasis, Design Star, Bang for Your Buck, and Live in Vern’s House.
His projects have amassed an impressive list of design awards including: 2015 Design Maverick Nominee, 2003 Distinguished Southerner Award, and 2000 Southeast Designer of the Year. He is also a New York Times Bestselling Author.
