Are you tried of the typical Halloween fare? The tsunami of candy, costumes, haunted houses, and hayrides can be tiresome, so why not do something different? On October 30th at 7:30 pm, the Charleston Symphony Orchestra (CSO) will accompany the 1931 classic movie Frankenstein with a full orchestra and score written by guest conductor Michael Shapiro. The event will be held at the Charleston Gaillard Center.
The film was originally produced with no music score, so Shapiro took it upon himself to create one. The orchestra will play under the dialogue and in synchronization with the movie. However, attendees can expect more than just the movie – the first portion of the concert will include a collection of Halloween classics.
